## How to find the right installers (get at least 3 quotes)

Target **MNRE / UPNEDA-empanelled** solar installers, and prefer ones who have done **motor / industrial loads** (not just home rooftops — a sawmill's motor surge is different from a house). Sources:
1. **UPNEDA empanelled vendor list** — search "UPNEDA empanelled solar vendor Ballia / Azamgarh / Varanasi".
2. **PM Surya Ghar / national portal vendor directory** — even though the subsidy doesn't apply to you, the *vendors* listed there are vetted installers.
3. **Local industrial electrical contractors in Ballia/Varanasi** who do 3-phase motor + panel work — many now also do solar.
4. Ask the **inverter brands directly** (Deye / Growatt / Sungrow / Luminous / Waaree / Tata Power Solar) for their authorised dealer near Ballia.

> Aim for a mix: 1–2 bigger brand-channel installers + 1 strong local industrial electrician. Make **net-metering paperwork their job** (it's in the RFQ).

## Before signing — quick sanity checks on the winning quote
- Inverter is a **true 3-phase hybrid** that runs in backup mode (not a grid-tie-only unit).
- Battery is **LFP**, 10-yr warranty — **reject lead-acid**.
- Modules are **ALMM-listed** (needed if you ever want net metering/subsidy).
- Net-metering + CEIG (if needed) is **in their scope**, not yours.
- They did a **site visit** and re-matched the **pulley ratios** for motor RPM.
- 5-year **AMC rate** is stated separately.
